Comments (11)If this is an old house, you may find you have banisters under the flat panelling down the side of the stairs, that could open it up and stop it from looking so much solid white. I like what you've done and your front door area is welcoming. I like the idea of painting the hand rail and I think black is the best option and just make sure you have some gorgeous fresh flowers near the front door area : ) Personally I wouldn't too much though, I think it is lovely!...See Moreblack and white check floor what stair carpet should I get?

Comments (18)Hello ummimez2, That is such a lovely floor! Black and white floors are a classic. For this space we consider you can't go wrong with keeping it white and black: or you can add some other neutrals to make it a little bit softer: or if you want to go bold and make a statement, teal is a great colour to match. Comments (65)I have these in a couple of the bedrooms to hang bathrobes and such on. They come in black or in white (which I would do on the White door). I love them and think you could probably do two on the door at slightly different heights. Removing the handle and painting the door white, gloss or semi-gloss, whatever you prefer and use in the rest of the home on the woodwork is a good idea. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/small-storage-organisers/hooks-hangers/tjusig-hanger-black-art-80291707/...See MorePeriod Property Store
