Bedroom writing area

I have a dedicated space in my bedroom to make an office/writing area. I want an uncluttered desk but low as I don't want to obscure the lovely view from my window which is a real feature. Is this a trellis table that you are using in this photo as it's v effective & may be what I am searching for.

Depends what kind of wood you are having in the main room. If it's mid or dark colour and a little bit rustic then that works for a hall too, as long as you won't mind if the odd scratch appears over time. If you're having something very light or smooth in the kitchen I would be cautious of having that in a hall as dirt and marks will show much more. In that case I'd choose tile.

All the things you say you have will all help to cosy up the room. Bedding, curtains, lamps plus pictures. If you want to put up the curtains and dress the bed and take another picture, we could advise better, if you want. Here’s some art that may work with your colour scheme.

I fell in love with the place, but as difficult as it was, I had to let it go because the beauty of the flat was in its current dimensions, and the expense of major changes has been a consideration, but the last nail in the coffin was to see on a second viewing, during a brilliantly sunny day, that there was no direct light coming through those windows and it was almost shadowy in there...
