Need help with kitchen cabinet measurements .
Comments (6)http://www.crown-imperial.co.uk/kitchen/technical/dimensions.aspx This is a link to a typical British manufacture - all sizes are in millimetres not inches over here in UK and height of extractors above hobs are dependant on type of hob and manufactures guidelines for appliance but typically induction 450mm clearance , electric solid plate or ceramic / halogen 650mm clearance , gas 750mm clearance. aga's and similar can't have anything deeper than 338mm over them and require (mostly ) 750mm clearance . The difference between upper and base cabinets it usually determined by the height of the tall cabinets. European manufacturers have a vast array of all sorts of sizes !! Hope that helps a bit too !!...See MoreNeed help for height measurement of kitchen cabinets.
Comments (9)Starter molding is a flat piece of wood that is usually 3 or 6" high and you can mount other moldings to the face of. Like Sequins, I'd suggest you work with a professional. It's our job to come in, take measurements, and give you drawings of what you're looking for. You may find that with such high ceilings, your wall cabinets end up looking too heavy or the kitchen costing thousands more than you were expecting. You would also need to consider how you're going to reach them. One solution would be installing a rolling ladder. If you decide to leave the space open above, placing lighting above them is a great alternative....See MoreNeed help for mirror light height .
Comments (14)Practically any sconce can be mounted over a mirror as in my first picture. The biggest trick to making it look good is to make sure the electrical junction boxes are all mounted at the exact same height and securely so they don't wiggle at all. Also, having a fixture there when mounting the boxes helps so the screw holes to mount the light don't end up in the wrong spot. I often like to throw the mounting bracket away and screw the light directly to the box if possible when mounting a light over a slick mirror....See MoreNeed help finding cabinets to fit my alcoves
Comments (6)Hi salonka, the width I need is 69cm and height approx 100cm (that's the height of the dado) depth doesn't really matter. I have found a few, but they all seem to be a few cm too big width wise and the height will then be about 80cm ( too small)I think I am going to have them custom made. I'll have a little search online! Thanks for your reply....See Morenatepeterliz
