Hi. I think I'd go for the darker green on all walls as from memory you said the room was really light. Personally I wouldn't have the tv on the panelled ŵall as its your feature ŵall and the tv will stand out if you're going for green. Hang the tv above the sideboard on the left hand ŵall. Add table lamps either side of the tv so it conceals the leads. Pull both sofas out from the walls a little. Add the chair where the stove is but not pushed into the corner so it has space behind it. You could try the ladder towards the rhs of the panelled ŵall and move the floor lamp to where the small sideboard is. I'd paint the sideboard charcoal as it will have more impact than the current grey ( although that will still look good) against the green and then add just a couple of grey cushions. Maybe a modern pendant for the ceiling. I don't think it will be too cluttered, you are losing bigger pieces. What is next to the sideboard though as that looks a little cluttered? Do practice with the new sideboard though before you buy the chair so you can see how much space there is

If you put the main tv in the area with the French doors - could you see your son from the kitchen ? ( it looks like you could )... I've put together a very quick sketch of an idea to make the most of that beautiful fireplace nook - with a couple of fireside chairs - have either a round display table ( flowers /family photos etc) in the bay or add seating and use as an alternative dining / homework table ? With your 2.5 and 2.3m sofa in the French room end ... If you enable tv viewing /games etc in a tablet it could open up more opportunity too ?! Even if it's fixed in different places rather than hand held if that could be a problem ? [marketing note - this is an example of a sketch consultation service that OnePlan offer . Normal rates would be £35ph. But in this instance, we are happy to have helped this Houzzer FOC ]

Oh! Thanks sooooo much, AJ Interor. I was worried I'd bought the wrong colour - yet again! I can now rest easy, until the next project comes along. Incidentally, what do you think of a light green sofa, (sofa throw actually), against a delicate terracotta wall, please? That would be for the opposite wall to the fireplace. I'm hoping the lush green (by fireplace), will worth with a light terracotta opposite. What are your views please, or do you think I spoiled paint both walls in the same green?

Hello Ana! The sofa you have chosen is very beautiful and elegant. For what concerns the walls I would paint them in white colour without wallpapers, in order to make the room brighter and wider.
