Designing a home gym - creative ideas for interior design?
Comments (5)hi - you might find that having ( if the budget allows ) a round moving floor area for your equipment - it can be set up so that it turns around slow enough for you to always have the best view whichever piece of equipment you are on at the time ! failing that having two or three screens for video / TV feed on different walls can help ... also hanging a tall 'standing desk' high enough for you to work on a laptop or tablet while on mini stepper can be a good idea ! plan , plan and plan again until you know everything fits and works with space around to get on and off and space for a fridge full of cold water / can / energy drinks is a great idea too ! ( and a litter bin !) add a softer rubber matted area for free weights... oh and a whiteboard is a good idea to keep track of your timings / reps etc and steps up to a lower piece of equipment ( like a rowing machine ) can double up as step area for box jumps and tread work etc ! ( if you are into cross fit ) - sorry this is a bit of a disjointed message - I'm typing (crosseyed) on a small phone !!!...See MoreHallway Interior Design Dilema!!
Comments (28)Thanks Petra, I am not very good at interior design, I see a lot of things on Houzz and think how on earth have they pulled that off!! if i was to try it, it would look awful!! I would say my previous work in the other house was nice and family normal, but this one with it being quite large and for us expensive we want it to look that way and not just nice and normal but I'm struggling everywhere!! it's great if you have buckets of money but if not it poses it's challenges, not impossible but challenging. yes good spot on the architrave that is being replaced to match upstairs which is flat and about 75mm wide, it looks more modern. thank you again for your contributions it's all very much appreciated from everyone who has take time out to reply...See MoreHow do I start- design and build, interior designer, bespoke joinery?

Comments (2)Hi Emma, It sounds like a really exciting project that you have an understandly it can be confusing as to who and what you need to achieve what you're looking for. Architects are perfect for extension designs, overall look of the extension from the external and like Suzy has said structural engineers are the best people to really get involved when it comes to figuring out which walls can be knocked down and where. Interior Designers are all very different and will offer different packages etc. You will find as well that an interior designer will look more at the flow of the space and making sure that the new layout would work for you and your specific needs, as well as making sure that the finished look is what you are happy with! Happy to answer any questions or offer any advice or help if required! Feel free to email me: pearl-interiors@outlook.com Thanks & Good Luck! Dani Pearl Interiors...See MoreA B
