What would you prefer a nice landscape or an amazing treehouse fort?

Here are two of our current designs we have done this past year. We specialize in both landscape and landscape architecture. We wanna know what would you prefer to have in your backyard?

Treehouse fort?

I was thinking about UK vs US style the other day after reading an article on Trump's decorating of the White House: https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2017/aug/24/trumps-3m-white-house-redesign-is-as-drab-as-a-downmarket-hotel There are points where it is difficult to say US or UK, especially in high end apartments in Manhattan, Georgetown in DC and perhaps some part of San Fran which could easily be in London, Bath or Edinburgh. But overall you could put a slide deck up on interiors and most can easily say if they are in the UK or US. Various UK TV shows have changed what used to be dark small spaces into light homes with many people knocking through rooms to add light, removing curtains and painting with light colours. The US is moving that way but still use a lot of darker woods. The US do tend to go for details - window and ceiling mouldings, solid wood doors and outdoor landscaping.

I must be the only one that does not like being above/near water. I have lived most of my life on the sea side, so I know what I'm talking about. I find most water stinks, contains slimey and sometimes deadly stuff (although the water itself is deadly enough if you don't follow the instruction manual to the letter) and attracts mosquitos (not salt water obviously). I had my honeymoon on a tropical island and the noise of the lapping waves on the beach was driving me nuts at night! Water also doesn't give you freedom unless you have time and money to own and use a boat and how many of us can say they have both? And for most parts of the world it is too cold to go swimming. But why would you want to if you don't know what is floating around you because you can't see your own toes through the dirty water or your bathers are being dissolved by the chemicals in the water. Nope, give me a tree to live in with lots of birdies around me and I'm happy. You can take me scuba diving any time though, but that's sort of the opposite of being in a tree ;)

Hi I would put a planted green screen of a nice flowering hedge which also has berries in the winter like Berberis. It will give you privacy and its not totally solid as a fence or wall would be and will give a much softer look. It also gives security as it has small prickly barbs You say your window sills are too narrow to take window boxes so why not put a nice long wrought iron planter under the full width of the window, attach to the wall, (It looks like the windows are quite low) or if not put a free standing planter under the window. I would not get rid of the front lawn and just have concrete slabs as you already have all the drive paved, it will just look like to much concrete and harsh unless you add some plants or create maybe a circular flower bed Too much concrete prevents good drainage too Adding a porch would be a great idea, perhaps just glass which will give a modern contemporary feel Also once you have changed that paint colour it will look a lot better

Kalami in North East Corfu. Beautiful clear blue sea, bleached pebble beach dotted with driftwood overlooked by hills lined with ancient olive and pine trees. A couple of fabulous tavernas on the beach and a water taxi every evening to take you to one of the superb tavernas on the beach (literally) on Agni bay or Agios Stefanos. Grilled calamari, octopus stifado or king crab linguini eaten on a jetty overlooking the bay and the fishing boats - accompanied by a glass of excellent Corfiot wine. No large hotels, nightclubs or English pubs. Unspoilt just like the Greek islands used to be!
