Help please!! My newly reupholstered sofas look lilac in our lounge.

I've recently had our sofas reupholstered in Romo Linara Chamois. They were delivered last week and I'm beyond disappointed that they have a lilac hue in the room which I didn't see in the swatch at all. Clearly they don't complement any other colour in the room. The walls are currently Little Greene Slaked Lime Mid and the sideboard Little Greene Slaked Lime Deep though this has always looked greenish to me. The curtains are being replaced but any suggestions on what colour to choose would be much appreciated. Happy to paint the walls and, if need be, the sideboard but I don't know where to begin. Any help would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Do you have anything lilac or purple in your wardrobe that you could try draping over the sofa? hopefully it should make the sofas more neutral and if so you can add cushions, throw etc in that tone. Were you wanting light or dark neutral walls or a colour? Was it also a scandi look?

Lovely room. I would consider bringing the lilac and green hues together with cushions, then going for a cream shutters or cream wooden blinds to reflect your rug

For the cushions you've chosen, I would buy modern sofa with clean lines in gray colour. The best place for sofa is the wall opposite the chimney breast and you can build the shelves on each side like on one of the pictures. Smaller sofa or two armchairs can be placed against the wall opposite the window. I would open the fire place and place there some wood blocks.

In my opinion the round chair takes a lot of space, but if you want to keep it you have to declutter the area even more. As said above, the photos on the feature wall are not necessary. If you remove them entirely I think it would look better. I also think that you don't need the side table there. You could either have the chair or the side table, but not both in that corner. The big coffee table takes a lot of space and closes the room. I would suggest removing both the big coffee table and the matching side table and having the little yellow/green round table as your coffee table. It goes lovely with the cushions and the sofa. You can put a slim modern floor standing lamp between the chair and the sofa if light is needed in this corner. You do have some great furniture pieces and features in these room. Keep it simple and airy! That will bring the style in.

I don't see why not leave the fireplace where it is now and still do what you want - a false chimney breast built with an electric fire and TV built into it. Carolina's cushion color combination makes an instant connection between the large colors of the room and makes it work all together. I don't think you will go to far 'wrong' following that path. Changing the lamp shade to a more distict cream, again, another genius suggestion! Keep working on the rug choice, something is not quite catching me there but it's definately coming along and will look brilliant when it comes together. Good luck on the rug search.
