Roof terrace - fibreglass GRP? Felt? Ash ?

Hi,

Am looking for some advice on re-roofing a small (about 3x4m) roof terrace. What should be inspected pre-work, and what advice would you give regarding the deck design and waterproofing methods?

At the moment, it's an old uninsulated roof - lath&plaster, joists, furring strips, OSB deck and bituminous felt layers. Leaking, but more on the slowly-dampy end, so hard to "pinpoint". Would want a longer-term guarantee for the work, and ideally something that's stood the test of time...who's got experiences to share?
