Help with colours in vestibule
Comments (3)Ah, ok, so the panelling breaking up the walls should stop too much of a clash happening. That's great, thanks for that advice Kia. I do like the greys and neutrals so I'll go and get a couple of samples to try out. I do also like the sound of stripping back the panelling I think it would look amazing in that space but I suspect I'd have to carry it on through to the hallway which has acres of panelling and it might look a bit much, especially as I'm hoping to strip the floorboards in the hall back too. Thanks for the replies....See MoreHelp! What colour/colours to paint the house and windows??
Comments (10)Thanks Jonathan. I’m not totally adverse to the yellow and perhaps your right less yellowish window might help crisp up. I like the warmth statement and blending with greenery that current colour has but it needs painting badly and so having moved in last year feel need to make a change and loose yellow. I suppose as it is tired and everything in the house is either yellow or green (avocado) and tired!!! I’ll look at greys with off white windows as you suggest.........See MoreHelp with colours and furnishings!
Comments (5)Hi Damian Liu, there are pieces you can add to make the room come together such as table lamps, a rug under the bed this can add texture, pattern and make the room feel cosy. You could opt for a statement style ceiling light to draw your eyes up when you walk in. Artwork would also look great along with styling the bed with cushions/throws etc and of course you could paint the walls at a later stage too. Comments (2)Boring is good. I wouldn’t add more colour or pattern as you have a lot already. I would go with grey similar to walls, doesn’t have to be an exact match. Try velvet for a more plush look....See MoreNatalie Howe Design
