I love the splashback where did you get it?

I love the splashback where did you get it? Is it made of painted glass or ceramic. I would really appreciate if you can provide a link to it. It's absolutely amazing. Thank you, Lucy.

I'd say we all want to live in that lovely house we passed whilst on the way to go brambling with a jam jar in our hand and high hopes of a good day. Maybe it was the gates, or the gravel driveway that appealed, and it even had stone pillers and Georgian windows . And I'd wait and stare, and wait and stare curious about who lived there and hoping they'd drive out allowing me a quick glimpse of another world. Them. Then I'd feel ashamed stood there in my jumble-sale-new clothes, bothered that perhaps someone might come out and ask me what was I doing. I learnt it was a very rich person home, a shipbuilder who owned a shipping fleet and I wanted to copy him, if he could do it- then so could I. So that man and that lovely house blighted my life for the best, and it still does. I love this house and stop outside it whenever I pass by. I'm heart broken, and I'm a big strong man and big strong men are not allowed to cry. That adopted house is my comfort blanket, my home, and I go to sleep and it becomes mine.This is my lounge, this my garden, this gate is mine, and please come in when you go brambling. Don't walk on by, share it with me, you can adopt upstairs or the fireplaces, or ceiling coving and florals, I won't mind.

Pity you have decided against glass in favour of tiles. We have just done our kitchen and I wanted an easy-to-clean surface for the splash back, so the rough surface of grouting around tiles, and also the indentations on some patterned tiles (which collect grease and grime) ruled them out for me! I went for glass, which the manufacturers matched exactly to the duck egg paint colour on the other walls (just gave them a product code of the paint), and although the initial outlay for the glass was expensive, the surface is so brilliant to keep clean and it looks fab as well. I would definitely recommend, and you could match it to, say, your lovely pink/purple ceiling lights ...

Hi Sarah The beauty about the kitchen you have gone for, contemporary white units with natural wooden worktops and floor means that there are lots of options open to you for your splashback in terms of colour palette especially if you opt for glass. Or, have you considered something slightly more adventurous in terms of a printed design. We have been helping a customer in London recently who has been in a similar situation - not quite sure which way to go. He sent us an image that he liked and we visualised how the design might translate to his new kitchen (please see images above) to give him an idea of the finished look before making a decision. If you would like us to help you out in the same way and have a design in mind we would be happy to do so. We have an arrangement with www.depositphotos.com where you can search, browse and choose from over 50 million designs and images. It might be worth taking a look.
