Comments (43)Hi Candace, I just finished looking at your previous posts. I should have done this before I commented before. You have been busy! lol..I too agree with previous comment of I think you are more drawn to cool colors. I find cool colors can evoke a lot of energy, so maybe why they draw you in, lol. When I see your hallway, the flooring looks greyish and cool to me, (but you say its going to be changed anyway) but the other wood looks warm. I too would like it painted white, but you can decide that when new flooring/kitchen done etc. Sounds like you are leaning toward the Elmira White for walls, and I think warm green and purple accents might tie in with the hallway. Comments (31)Hi A.S, sorry for not responding to your previous post! Unfortunately we moved in after the developer had chosen our flooring and I had no say, but I am in love with it. It's a solid grey wood effect tile, when we first moved in we thought it was just vinyl, but then we realised how solid it actually was. As it's a new build I have a feeling it could have been a large supplier like Porcelenosa etc, but I've just had a look online and Topps Tiles have a similar tile see link below http://www.toppstiles.co.uk/tprod45478/tabula-fog-tile.html If you want, you can send me a blank message on here just incase I ever did find out the name from our developer and it will be a constant reminder for me :) I hope this helps a little!...See MoreHow to make bedroom feel complete
Comments (17)This is a beautiful room, as is the bed. Have you thought about repositioning the bed to the right wall so that when you sit in bed, you face the windows? Might be more relaxing. Also the whole arrangement is "floating" because the room is quite large and there are no zones. A rug is definitely needed to anchor the bed and bedside tables. The pendant lights are quite large for what looks like a relatively low ceiling. We also have a bedroom under eaves and have completely minimalist lights (they're like white spotlights and blend with the white ceiling); we even wanted recessed lights but it couldn't be installed in the ceiling so that was the next best thing. Finally, perhaps you can add some cushions in accent colours e.g. orange or yellow contrast well with blue and grey, and they feel warm as well, hence would warm up the relatively cool scheme (3 should be enough, doesn't have to be loads, to keep your other half happy!). Good luck!...See MoreAdvice on colour highlights for white bathroom
Comments (5)Hi. I love your inspiration pictures and think the teal/ white/ wood colour scheme is a great idea. Personally I'd copy what they've done in those pictures. So.... I'd only tile half of the walls where you have your sink/ toilet and the wall with the radiator on it, and paint the wall above them in that beautiful teal colour As your cabinets are white, I'd introduce the wood part of the colour scheme in the flooring and by using the wooden accessories mentioned in your post For the grouting and taps....maybe if you used a pale-ish grey grout - the chrome taps would blend in with the white tiles a bit more and wouldn't stand out as being the main feature of the room? This would help the teal and wood accents stand out more. Good luck with whatever you decide, I'm sure it'll look lovely 😊...See Morenlovesey
