Furniture dilemma for hallway...pls help!
Comments (12)I like the centre table idea, like ED's inspiration pic. I'd go for a pedestal base. Haven't you got the impressive feature fireplace. Would you consider matching a tabletop to that to tie in with the other room. Don't know if it would be too costly but worth costing it if you like the idea? Your floral display would look great centred on it in the hallway. I'd also go for a radiator cover rather than chair which, in my house, would become a dumping ground!...See MoreEntrance Hall Design Dilemma - help please!
Comments (5)I agree with Minnie it's already looking lovely. I think a bit of texture would warm it up a bit. So I was going to suggest painting the door too and/or adding a door curtain - maybe a nice heavy velvet? Bottle green? You have a nice space to right hand side to pull the curtain over too. Also maybe a rug in front of the console table. I have a bit of an obsession with Persian style rugs as they can introduce lots of lovely warm, burnished type colours but that's just my preference. Something else on the floor would break up the coolness of the tiles - although you might have to experiment with some rug grips. Also some more art above radiator etc. It's already a very lovely hallway and so nice to have such a large space....See MoreFurnishing dilemma
Comments (2)Next to the door there's a radiator (on the left) On the opposite wall there is patio door around 225cm and a window 180cm with radiator underneath....See MoreHallway Radiator and coat storage dilemma. Very small area.
Comments (3)Good afternoon! I also cant view the video but looking at your floor plans I would suggest putting a vertical radiator behind the front door on the left side and on the other side of the sitting room door I would put up some coat hooks for a modern yet practical look - as per the photo you could have a paneled wall behind, but there are so many variations of hooks and styles that you can choose. I also wouldn't advise having anything underneath the hooks due to making sure there is space for all of your coats and also I'm not sure that the width of the hall would take it well. Please see the photos that I have found as ideas and let me know if there is anything else I can help with. I am an interior designer local to Reading, Berkshire however, I do offer online services if you are not close by, don't hesitate to drop me a message! Sophie :)...See MoreSharon S
