Comments (10)Sometimes you can get away with just permitted development but this is really area dependent. For example, sometimes you need planning (not full) for the changes to the front of the house or for adding services to this space. Also, sometimes, permitted development rights have been removed from the property so you should definitely drop a message to your local planning authority before proceeding. This can include if you are on a new housing development or if you live in a conservation area.
