Bed position?!
Comments (28)Hello, I have the same style bedroom in terms of layout, slightly a bit bigger with 3 windows on the same wall. I have built in wardrobes on the two sides of the fireplace just like where you have the shelves. Surely I had the same issue always as I can/t move the bed too much and it is in the same position as yours but I found some bedside table that fits well and is also functional. I even managed to place a mirror on the same wall. If you would move the bed where the shelves are, wouldn't it disturb you that you may lack space as the wardrobe is there too. I would leave the bed where it is now. Izabella StJames Design Interiors...See MoreBed position?!
Comments (9)A bedroom always seems wrong to me if someone has to walk all the way around the bed to get into it. I would back the bed on to the bookcase forgoing a bit of storage there and using those shelves for lamp placement and bedside storage on that side, then if you can fit a small bedside table on the other side or failing that a small shelf. My 2 cents :)...See MoreHelp with circular/triangular/fan-shaped room
Comments (3)Hello ttjiangtt, They're good sized room and what a view in each! I suppose the first thing you tried was to situate the bed so it faces the windows.. If at all possible this might be rather nice. Looking at the images with current positions they are not bad I think.. One thing I like to do is have a view of the room from the doorway.. So you see the rooms layout. Another thought perhaps is to just forget what most people do and work to an orientation that suits you and the space.. If you have a clear view of the windows from the door, you may want to use this as the focus and situate the room around this.. Means you're facing away from the window but visually from the door it could provide a nice view! Alternatively situate the bed right in the middle of the room facing the windows.. It may be not what most people would do but you can create its focus in the same way as you can against a wall.. Why not try and have a move around and see what you find works for you... If not, I think they're good as they are and the walls, cupboards you might face perhaps they could be made a focal point and or more interesting.. :))...See MoreHelp required with an awkward L shaped living room
Comments (16)Me personally I would try to “zone” the areas as two separate areas. Firstly some nice custom built shelving either side of the fireplace for books/ornaments/ picture frames etc. Then like suggested above, I would make a study by the window with a desk; where the sofa is and shelving under the pitched ceiling opposite. A tall house plant would look good there to the left of the window to balance out the window being off centre and an area rug to tie it altogether :)...See MoreEmily
