Ceiling trunking for pendant light in extension

we got a new extension built and had initially planned for a pendant light over the island. we got it all cabled up for the pendant light in that location,
however, we now realize that the extractor over the island itself has lights so we want to move the pendant over the dining table.
trouble is we will either need to break the plastering and sink in the cables or have trunking on the ceiling.
we are reluctantly going for the second option since we are budget constrained now.
any suggestions on how trunking can be made to look elegant on an extension ceiling?
