Bathroom redesign - new ideas please!

Hi there,
We need to redo our bathroom and I've been mulling it over for ages. We're in a 30s semi that at one stage had a separate toilet that has now been knocked together. At one end there still exists some built in cupboards, actual walls and doors, one that opens from the bathroom and one from the next door bedroom. We can knock these in making a room 2.9 x 3.2 ish.

At the moment the cupboard in the bathroom has a radiator, it used to house the water tank, and I dry all my laundry in there when the heating is on... I love it.

So, I'm trying to redesign the bathroom to have, full size bath, large shower, sink with space around it, bit of storage... and build a laundry cupboard, accessed from the hall to take the washing machine, laundry and a little basin to take the pressure off the bathroom in the morning.

We've had many ideas, the wall between hall and bathroom can be removed so doors can go anywhere. We've toyed with separate shower room instead of laundry, separating out the toilet again and putting cupboard and washing machine in the bathroom.

There is the final option of keeping the washing machine in the kitchen, although that creates design questions about the kitchen(which also needs doing).

Here are my latest plans, which give me everything I want, but I'm worried there isn't enough moving space.

Nothing is really 'off the table' so I'd really appreciate some new ideas of how to get what I want in a smallish space!

A couple of other points, I don't know how thick stud walls need to be to take plumbing, these are 120mm. And the bath I'd like in this scenario has a curved corner, so not so in the way when you come in.

Can you post the measurements of the separate spaces..........then the walking around idea can be explored. Currently we've just got the whole space, with no walls up.

A stud wall is roughly 4" or 100mm. ( excluding your tiles or other extra finish ).

Not quite sure what you mean about ' to take the plumbing'.............the pipes don't sit in the walls, they go through them, so the depth isn't really relevant. Did you mean that you want to box something in, as that's different.

Hahahaha Joanna! Honestly me and hubby have also invested emotion into this. Seems like we are in the same boat, rewire/ installing gas, putting in central heating, all the works basically! I would love to know how it all comes along for you. I wish we could do house tours on houzz for the amateurs like me! Whilst the amazing houses from interior designers and architects are so inspirational, not everyone like me can afford their expertise for first timers and would amazing to see what other first timers have done. I think you'll fit it a shower and bath as it's a long room. I divided the space between the end of the bath and the shower with a tall bathroom cabinet. I've kept the toilet where it is and made it in to a back to the wall with combined vanity. There's room to put an even larger shower in and lose the cabinet if that's your wish, but I personally think it will dominate the room. Pale grey units would be nice too as they keep the room light and airy You don't need to stick to vanity's that are combined, you can purchase the two separately these days and bolt together. You've got room for a larger unit. So a a vanity and then a toilet unit will still fit. These two combined take up 1060mm, but they would still fit. I like this range!

Hi, the shower cubicle is 1300 x900mm, making the laundry cupboard around 1m x 1.3m, it takes two 60cm IKEA units and a filler piece. The sink in these pictures is in a metre wide unit, but in other drawings I've popped it in an 80cm unit. Realistically, there is only a 40cm diagonal gal between the toilet and the sink to walk through to get to the shower, and the distance between bath and sink is 57cm.

I was anticipating having the shower concealed in the stud wall, so assumed there would be a need for pipes.

I hope this makes sense, adding dimensions to the plan is tricky, I'm playing around with sketchup to try a get more precise idea of door sizes and architrave.
