Worktops! Caesarstone, Silestone, Infinit Stone - which stone?!
Comments (74)Hi Rowen, I can't quite identify the knobs/handles in Claire's images (and there are quite a few others in this thread!), but we may be able to help source what you are looking for. We have a variety of hadle suppliers, but one of our favourite for "cup & knob" in a variety of lovely finishes is Crofts & Assinder - crofts.co.uk - a really great, British company with some lovely designs and finishes. Have a browse of the website and see if any are close to what you seek. If you give me an idea of which is the style you particularly like, happy to try and help. Handles are so crucial for the final look of a kitchen - we do tend to get a bit obsessive about them ourselves! John Caldicot Kitchens...See Morehow do you clean your quartz worktops?
Comments (3)I use ecover multiaction spray once a week on mine and it’s fine, have been using it for about 2 years. The rest of the week I just use Ecloth dishcloths with water only. If it gets stained which is rare (wet teabags and curry can be problematic) I spray dettol surface cleaner on the stain leave for a few minutes then rub away. I’ve had white quartz worktops for 12 years now and not had any issue with damage/staining. They are pretty robust, I’m not careful with mine at all!...See MoreRecommendations for WHITE worktops...that don't stain!!
Comments (5)Hi, I would look at the NBoost range from Silestone as Jonathan mentioned and I would seriously consider looking at Dekton which is actually stain proof. Dekton does not contain any resin (which quartz does) and low porosity which means it is chemically resistant. Most Dekton worksurfaces come in a matt finish but they do have an X-Gloss range (which is absolutely stunning) but this is the most expensive range they do. Generally, in comparison to quartz, Dekton does work out more expensive. However, there are different price groups so if you stick to a lower price group (with 1 being the lowest) you will not be too far off the price of quartz. Dekton also has other benefits; including heat resistance which means you can put a hot pan directly on to the surface and it will not damage it and you can directly chop straight on to it but I would be careful doing this as you are likely to damage your knives (but you will not damage the worktop). Hope this helps!...See MoreWhat colour are blanco stellar quartz worktops?
Comments (3)Thanks, Sarah. I’m sure you’re right. I think it has a white base with grey/black/mirror flecks on the surface giving an overall light grey hue. I just wanted to know how white/grey it looked in the flesh....See MoreNiamh
