need help with bathroom window treatment please!

Currently I’m thinking a relaxed Roman shade, maybe white or grey? No need for privacy or blocking the light (we live in a rural area with no near neighbors). The walls are BM Woodlawn blue. Totally open to painting or new towels if that would improve things. Would love any ideas!

Comments (21)One possible solution. It gives you the bath and shower in one unit behind the door away from the window as well as the sink and WC of course. Admittedly a little tight on plan at the end of the shower bath but your upper body and arms would be free to move over the end of the bath and into the window recess, and your feet, whether standing or sitting, would always be in front of the WC where you have more space. The sink has plenty of space around it with room for a towel rail adjacent. The sanitary where is all taken from the Ideal Standard website but you could use any manufacturer - the point is it can be done. I would also make the glazing obscure, if it is not already, by using an after market stick on film cut to size. You can get plenty of patterns or just frosted. You could also add blinds as previously suggested. Also, we had a slightly similar problem - we used to live in a 5-bed house but as we don't like cooking or entertaining in the kitchen, we only put a lovely, small separate kitchen (the size you'd find in a 2-bed flat). That did put families off. However, we got several offers from people without children. It went for over the asking price within a week. I think it might be a similar for you. Comments (2)I like to hide things away so I would take out the existing cabinet and buy a much taller one or two stacked one above the other to sit better in the space (and perhaps get a less wide cabinet so it doesn't have to be pushed right into the corner and the doors are a little smaller). Any gap at the bottom or side you should add a pile of towels that you buy just for display purposes. Bath panel- the tongue and groove route will work but I think there are loads of inexpensive ready made bath panels online. Flooring choice- Personally I like this type of white tile warmed up with wood to avoid it looking too clinical. I would be looking to find a wood style with a redness to it to tone and then use this for the floor, and one or two other things such as a blind or the cabinet. Paint for me a white paint will be too clinical and you need to find a deeper colour to frame the whiteness of the sanitary ware and tiles. 6 years agoi like the RH you posted. I do agree the room needs some art, or plants, or a warm wood shelf,,,or even glass shelves. the walls are crying for attention.
color is fine. hang a plant in the corner, or put some orchids on a glass shelf, something.
