Do you treat bricks somehow, do they don't get dirty in the kitchen?

I would really like to have a wall of exposed bricks in the kitchen, but I worry they will get very dirty from the steam and splatter, how do you treat them?

Hello Isabella, I'm the photographer. Between the kitchen and the stone wall there is a glass wall. Greetings from Italy!

Deep saturated blues and/or dark blues will always feel warmer than pale blues, especially 'greyed' pale blues. I love Inchyra Blue, and lots of the deep blues, but they are definitely a fashion. Green is all over Instagram at the moment, especially with dirty pale pink but again, it will pass. Have what you like, keep it for longer.

We have done many a project where the table butts up to the island to create a larger island, but still offer that flexibility when you want to entertain a larger gathering. Thank you for the kind words about our 'Chorleywood' project. This was a particularly large space over 10 metres in width. We had a good 3 metre gap between the island and the dining area. I know the exact extractor your talking about 'Downdraft' that comes up out of the island. These have been around for years now and in all honesty i'm finding more and more people opting for something different. When they are fully up, it creates a barrier between you and your guests and depending on the hob set up, the extractor struggles to pull the front rings steam/grease over the back ring. The downdraft works best with a panoramic hob. The Bora 'Pure' & 'X' on the other hand offers the extractor in the centre of the hob, so you have the same pull of air on all 4 rings. They also do a 'Professional' range for different configurations to suit your exact needs.

@James Neal thank you for your comments. I'm definitely wanting to avoid "causing any problems with planning departments as it flags up the possibility of the house being split into 2 residencies." The planning application should be going in next week and then we wait 8 - 12 weeks...... There will be a generous utility and office in the basement and there will be another office in the front reception room, I'm not looking to add more reception rooms and my kids have decent sized rooms for toys and entertaining. It's getting this kitchen right which is proving tricky, the new extension isn't full width as it would impact the basement plans (push back the garden and have a lower terrace). I've attached the old floor plan to provide more detail. Maybe I need to start talking to kitchen designers and see what the space would give me.
