Update Garage Door and Front Door

I love out house but the fact that the garage door is this 1990's off white brings too much focus to the garage. I was wondering if anyone had any color suggestions as I have been agonizing about this. I was thinking about painting the front door a dark navy blue (almost black) and painting the garage and trim a clay grey color (close to the color off the cement between the brick work). would a darker grey be better? any other suggestions for door or garage colours? I prefer cool rather than warm colors but I might be limited by my brick color. Also, note that my brick color is multicoloured, so I didn't want anything too crazy.

Comments (4)Hi we changed our front door 2 years ago to Anthracite. We only got around to painting our white garage door last summer. Whilst it is not unusual to have your front and garage door different colours it does look more balanced having them the same colour. I don't have a before photo but my after pic. Comments (1)Personally, I would consider getting rid of the front door suggested by the architect - it looks more like a back door and really does nothing for the potential kerb appeal of the new property. I would look at getting a double front door, possibly with some glass in to let in light (I am presuming that is what the window is for - or is that a WC?). As for colours for front door and garage door, it will depend on how you are finishing the exterior of the house and the style of the windows upstairs.
