What colour combination with oak colour cupboards

We have a decent kitchen with natural oak colour cupboards. Now as we are extending the kitchen we want to add some more storage but cannot seem to find the exact colour that we have. Now the app BMT option is to put in another colour storage but which works well with the existing colours. Any ideas?

I think this is maple but still lookI think if you add more cabinets they will sit very well as long as the proportions match- You could also change all the handles so that they match. As far as a contrast colour you can choose ivory, brown, a brown grey, sage green and I think vibrant colours will also work like teal

It looks like Maple to me too. Lighter than Oak. You can still get Maple doors manufactured by certain kitchen companies. It normally takes 2/3 weeks for them to be manufactured.

If you decide to mix them then I think I'd opt for a darker colour but definitely not a timber combination.

I think I would opt for a lightly textured white-ish worktop and something similar for the floor. Pure white in floortiles or worktops show every crumb, speck of dust and mark, and with your white metro tiles (which I love and specify often), runs the risk of being too "clinical". With a texture (marble or quartz effect), it will keep your room bright (you seem to have limited window for lighting) while being much more practical to live with. To include a slight "grey" tone would work well, and greys are very "now"! There are many lovely worktops (try looking at the Duropal website for inspiration) with a little pattern/texture which will mix white and grey tones and perhaps pick up on the tones from your wood. Why not pop into your local independent kitchen showroom - they'll have lots of samples for you to look at (probably more than the big "chains") and are normally more than happy for you to borrow sample pieces/swatches to try out at home. They'll be able to advise on the different makes/qualities and give you pricing to supply and/or fit. They'll probably have lots of tile and flooring samples for you to look at too! What did you decide to do paulinehenderson? I have a similar dilema - our walls are currently painted white (works well as it's a north-facing room), so I think white skirting might look too bare. Thinking about colour-matching to the Antique White, but not sure the contrast will be enough to work well - maybe a darker colour would be better?

I think you should keep the blue walls but that green wall on the left if I’m correct I think that you should paint it white then your bedroom closets should be a light grey or a darkish grey. To be honest it’s quite difficult because of the colour of the room choices..

In my opinion it is the saturation level of the paint that is the problem. The beauty of your kitchen is the natural flooring and the wooden worktops, it looks earthy. This is swamped by the blue paint, it just looks wrong. Without seeing the cupboard door colours close up it is tricky but I would suggest looking for something a bit darker than the cupboards but with the same hue. If you want a strong contrasting wall a deep olive green would work as it would balance the wood and the purpley greys.

I would go with gray or charcoal colour.

Look at this photos...how light wood goes good with gray.
