grey or white chairs

What do you think will suit the room better grey or white chairs I thought I preferred white but somone said it would be quite clinical but then would it be too much grey if we had grey chairs, looking to put the table where the old one is now. So this is like an L kitchen diner and lounge is down the other end of the room the last photo is of the sofa we just brought opinions please thanks

Are your units dark grey? What colour are the walls? I think they would be best painted? Is the sofa cream/beige? Don't think creams and greys go well.

Hi so the units in the kitchen is slate grey, prob not as dark as they look in the pic, the walls are dove grey laura Ashley and the sofas are a light grey so there’s a lot of grey going on.

Hi The great thing about grey is that it is a neutral and can be pretty much mixed with anything:-) A few pieces and possibly prints in duck egg, black , a copper lamp or table, and you have your scheme. I have attached a few images below just to show you the diverse range of options and how anything goes. I don't know if your style is contemporary or more relaxed but the same theories apply - Interiors in my opinion look more interesting when things are not too matchy matchy. If you bought a copper/brass influenced, coffee table, lamp, side table, duck egg throw, a couple of cushions with duck egg and maybe white, black or muted green, a vase in teal, black etc. I know you get the idea. It can cost as little or as much as your budget allows and as you find pieces or things you love, they will all fit in beautifully but it will have a lovely relaxed feel. Grey! I absolutely love a different finish to windows. I adore this window: Photo But perhaps you should got for a white internal frame to reflect daylight into your home unless you're going for a "designer" look inside too. The concrete looks great and I love the greens sofa's. I'm sure I seen concrete look tiles on www.porcelaintilewarehouse.co.uk. You have much more space than I have, we had to build the seating because a table and chairs would have been squashed. My dad built it, it's just wood strapping bolted to the walls then covered in plywood, then we carried the flooring over it and used chrome trim for the edges. We put the floor down after we built it so if we have to change the floor we don't have to remove the seating. The covers got made from a friend who put 100mm of foam in in, on the back foam is MDF ( covered) to make it rigid. It's really comfy and we picked a slightly ribbed material as my kids sit here for dinner, the rib makes the fabric a bit tougher when it comes to wiping spills so it still looks the same as when it went in. I'd be happy to lift the covers off and show you how it's constructed but it's just like caravan seating in the way built.

Do you have any photos of the room? What style & colour of units and worktop? The glass will look great with more modern, slab styles; the marble may work better with shaker units. There are so many marble-style splashbacks, though, and some are quite heavily patterned and stark. Softer, whiter marble-effect quartzes can look stunning - especially if the worktop matches!

Out of the 2 I'd pick the white, however the legs look quite wide? I don't think you could have the chairs in the current configuration. I would personally add an upholstered bench against the wall and lose the end chairs, you appear to have the room (counting the tiles!)

I'd go for the white too; it will coordinate and tie in with the worktop and window.

If you go with the grey, you may end up with a grey overload with many different shades of grey (wall kitchen chairs).

If you like the grey theme I'd say go with grey chairs. I feel they would nicely blend in. Classy.

White chairs could perhaps be too much of a statement and rather stark too.

Probably a good idea to then cheer it up with colourful accessories and furnishings. A nice rug would also work methinks.

I do like Minnie's bench suggestion.
