what colour, White or grey windows? Help updating 1970s exterior
Comments (24)We have a very similar style of house and are also torn between playing it safe with white or light cream upvc windows to brighten the exterior or being a little more adventurous choosing grey. We are also having to replace all guttering, soffits and fascia ( we have 3 dormers to front and 3 at the back) so we are wondering about combining grey window frames, guttering and soffits with white fascias and white front door and white garage door. We are also supposed to decide by tomorrow but I am worried that getting it wrong will be a massive disappointment every time arrive home! i wish there was some way to "photoshop" the options onto an image of our house. Sorry not to offer any constructive advice but I found it reassuring to find another house owner struggling with a decision just like me!...See MorePale Grey Sofa looks more Beige than Grey!
Comments (13)Have you already chosen or bought curtains? If so I would perhaps wait until you have these up, and maybe some artwork and a rug before revisiting the cushions. I think because the sofa has a cushioned top and back it doesn't lend itself so easily to having lots of cushions, maybe a rectangle cushion on the chair and a toning throw with a few different shades in it over one end of the sofa will be enough. Also, whilst a lot a people might recommend firm, overstuffed cushions in most cases, maybe the cushions will sit better if they are slightly less full and more squishy? Just a thought, you'd have to experiment with that....See Morewhat colour do you think goes with brown sofa
Comments (7)Hello Ave Bird, we really like the pastel grey of your walls and how they fit with the sofa and pillos, it looks really comfy! Though we feel your room needs some lighter colours to liven it up and add to the cosiness a touch of brightness. We think light blue curtains would wonderfully lighten up the whole room. They blend beautifully with the color palette you already have and will give a fresh aura to your room. We would personally opt for ice or slate blue though sky, aqua or pastel blue could be amazing options too! We hope you can find the right color for your curtains and make your room sparkle up and become even more wonderful! Kind Regards, Opun...See MoreRug Dilemma - Grey Walls, Brown Floor, Dark Grey Sofa
Comments (7)Out of all the rugs (even though I like the first one in pattern) I think the second one will be good as it will lift the floor but still have a neutral pattern so you can change colours in accessories when you want to. Rugs are expensive so unless you are set on a specific colour theme (like the blue rug or the yellow geometric one) then the second option - or similar, will be easier to move around and take with you. Similarly, something else in a multicoloured tone or with a heavier neutral colour pattern would also work. Down to your colour preferences really?...See Morehouse mad
