What Colour for wall paint against grey sofa?
Comments (4)Hello Plymouthlass, You have a good amount of seating in your Living Room, and a nice, neutral grey to work from in the sofa fabric. I’d suggest adding some warmth and interest to the room. Wallpaper would work well; alternatively some eye catching art work would look great along the main wall behind the sofa with painted walls (re-hanging the existing mirror on a side wall). I’d then add a rug under your coffee table and two side tables either side of your small sofa. These side tables would be a great place to locate a pair of table lamps. If you need additional storage in your room, trunks rather than side tables would give you storage and table space. A big difference would be to add a touch of softness and texture to your window by adding a pair of curtains with tiebacks would be ideal. Don’t forget to try and fit your curtain pole near the ceiling as this creates the illusion of a greater ceiling height....See Moreblack, dark grey or navy paint?
Comments (6)Thank you both for replying. Yes Minnie101 you have the photos the right way round and that is the AA, good spot! I've just painted some AA & Bowler Hat on the wall, once it's dry I'll add it to the post as that really isn't the best photo you're right. Yes the eclectic design will have a lot of colour, I have a dark red (very close to ox blood in colour) leather sofa which would stay for that scheme and I'm thinking of adding lots more colour with artwork from artists like Patrice Murciano like the one here & adding the exact rug here which will cover most of the floor....See MoreSlate grey leather sofa and white walls...
Comments (9)Hi there, as your room is small, a lighter coloured carpet is perfect at maxing up the light to accentuate a feeling of space, a silvery grey would work well, for example our Sensation Supreme range in colour Cool Concrete. If you’re not sure that you can take it totally plain, opt for a cosy feel carpet in a tempting texture such as our Malabar range in colour Quicksilver. Use simple, smooth lines and clean, cool colours while still creating warmth and personality by adding simple accessories such as lamps, throws, and wicker baskets. Sampling is the perfect way to see if a particular colour matches your existing décor. You can see and feel how the colour and texture work in the room and in the light. http://www.cormarcarpets.co.uk/free-samples.php Let us know what you decide!...See MoreGrey&Brown? Will it work?
Comments (24)Yes I am Charnelle, love the colours and is easy to tie in all my bits from home :)! I love mustard so definitely want to tie that in somewhere. Amordesigns your living room is lovely! Wow! Thank you all so much for your tips.. i think I agree that the main wall should stay the same and try find a grey for the other walls.. My brain gets all muddled when it’s trying to work with different colours I’m not the most creative person. Don’t think the cushion covers are going to work either at all.. see this being a project :)...See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
