Help needed to finish our living room
Comments (25)I think the three prints above the sofa are too symmetrical and the black rectangular frames a little on the masculine side. You could have a number of prints of different sizes with different frames instead. Perhaps one large one with a couple medium and small or something. I'm struggling to find a photograph of what I mean online but if you do an image search for 'prints above sofa' you might find something of the kind. That with some softer, warmer colours could work....See MoreWhat colour scheme to go with my new grey/brown wardrobes
Comments (6)It looks like you have neutral bedding, carpet and curtains already so you can put any colour on the walls. When you look at testers make sure that you like it in electric light. If it were my room I would choose a stronger colour as it will be broken up by a lot of neutrals......I say take inspiration from the rest of your house- choose a colour from the same pallet to those used in other rooms so that the each room feels like it has come from the same imagination and has a sense of increased space and flow....See MoreAutentico paint colours, any recommendations to work with grey/brown ?
Comments (8)I think all of those should work but have a look. Unfortunately it's not a brand mentioned that often on here re recommendations. I'm good thanks. I'm still ummming and aah'ing whether money for the garden could be better spent on finishing the house and whether we just repoint the brick, returf and sort plants etc. I finally spoke to our duty planning officer at the council a week or so ago (house is listed and in conservation area) as I want to paint the front door and happened to mention painting the inside of the garden ŵall. They said I need full planning permission even though the ŵall is "new"?! It makes absolutely no sense to me as that would suggest anyone needs full planning to paint a ŵall?! I could understand it if they said I need listed building consent but they said I don't...See MoreWhic colour carpet and wall for a grey brown beige
Comments (9)If you want something a little softer then Mustard and grey can work well, you could use a bold mustard or a pale one depending on tastes. Same goes for pink and grey. Decide what paper style you like, Modern, bold, small print, large print, stripes, flowers??? Then work from there. You may be inspired with the colour scheme if you find a paper you like. For instance if you just google 'pink grey wallpaper' and look at images, this comes up:- If that's not to your liking try 'mustard grey wallpaper' They just help by giving you an idea of what you might like and what goes with what....See MoreShianne Hibbert
