A Kitchen Transformation - Old to New!
Comments (0)This clients previous kitchen, has undergone a complete make-over, transforming it from a very dark and dated kitchen to a bright and contemporary kitchen! Out with the old and in the with the new. The old kitchen was very dated and did not go with the modern appliances that the client was trying to include within the kitchen. A complete removal of the kitchen was taken place, from taking out the units to removing the floor and re-painting the walls. The new high-spec kitchen was designed by one of our designers here at In-toto Marlow. This stunning, contemporary kitchen has been designed by choosing High-gloss Magnolia White and Silver Grey door fronts, a coordinating grey glass splashback and Dekton worktop. These materials ensure the kitchen is a bright, light space. Carefully selected and positioned modern appliances and storage options ensure that the clients have everything they need within a practical working triangle. The German designed cabinetry ensures there is endless storage for a family's needs within the kitchen, hidden carefully behind the door fronts. Do let us know what you think! Comments (10)Thanks Ed. I made the post a question purely to provoke interest and responses. I absolutely love it but much more importantly so does the client. The idea with a post like this is just to gauge other peoples opinions. It is usually frowned upon to brick up windows and doors if you want to create a light and airy space however roof lanterns are fantastic things. Especially in north facing rooms where they often let in more light than a window....See MoreFlooring thats inviting yet gives an elegant finish
Comments (8)It's so difficult isn't it? I am struggling with the same dilemma. I have considered everything myself and nearly went with engineered but at the last minute decided to go with a high quality laminate. I like to layer floors with rugs so most of the expensive wood would be hidden, we have a dog so during the wet horrible weather we have to consider the constant wiping of the floor in the winter months plus scratch marks and normal wear, real wood in kitchens can get tired quickly ( we had solid oak throughout in our old house and at the 3 year point they were starting to look shabby) I am afraid I have no answers other than I seem to have found a really good, real looking laminate board, made by no other than Villeroy and Boch. It looks really good for laminate with a very realistic wood grain (probably the best I have seen in a laminate) and probably what I will end up choosing for the whole of our downstairs aprox.80sqm. I will watch this thread with interest to see what other advice you will get, good luck ....See MoreChris Chapman Bespoke Kitchens & Furniture
