Comments (31)I think you feel it looks too solid is because you haven’t followed through with the rest of the room, for example cushions to tie in with it. Further up these comments minnie101 has suggested some black patterned cushions which i think would lift the scheme, however if you really don’t like it then follow your heart and return it. Why keep something you don’t like? Then choose a colour-way that you prefer, such as the blue you suggested. A blue coastal theme would tie in nicely with the neutral theme you have at the moment. By the way, i got a Turkish rug from Olney Carpets in Bucks, and they let us take it home for a week to see if we liked it before buying! True service, and yes we did buy it! Of course buying online does give you that option too. I wish you lots of luck....See MoreSmall, east facing outdoor space?
Comments (3)Is the wall at the end yours? If so, you could attach a large mirror to give the feeling of space. I’ve seen some lovely gardens with mirrors surrounded by plants attached next to them. And I’d paint that wall if possible. I’d love a olive tree in a large pot in that space, but it might be too tender for east facing so I’ll leave planting suggestions to others who know more than I on this....See Morewhat do you about this rug for my sofa ? any suggestions?
Comments (9)I think because the room is so big it can make the rug look smaller than it actually is. The rug is absolutely beautiful but I’m not sure the colour is right with the sofa? I would choose a cream or grey or even a blue based rug with the yellow sofas. The genuine Moroccan or Persian rugs would be perfect although a good proportion of them are predominantly red or pink. They are almost investment pieces as they can keep their value. I have a red Persian rug which creates such cosiness. Here’s a few ideas of different rugs whose colouring may be a better option. I think go for the biggest you can afford as the room is so big. You can see from the first picture how fabulous a big rug can be, even it’s pink!...See MorePatrina
