Need help choosing range colour, wall colour and tiles in kitchen
Comments (27)Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please...See MoreNeed Advice On Island Worktop
Comments (5)Hi I recognise that plan! Good to see you on another advice forum. Duropal make I think around 6 of their colours of laminate worktop upto 1200mm in depth. Really it all depends on where you are getting your kitchen from and their suppliers. For example if we are getting laminate worktop from a UK supplier then we get it from a 'cut and edge' worktop supplier, not just a 'blank' board supplier. A cut and edge worktop supplier will supply laminate worktop to a plan we provide, they will pre cut the masons mitre joints and profile all the edges. This is so much better than the fitter cutting blanks and gluing on laminate edges. I know from previous discussions on the other forum you were looking at Schuller kitchens, I assume this is not your choice now as you would not have these problems you are talking about with the laminate worktop, because Schuller have a huge range of laminate worktops, with lots of edge options and in all sizes! Anyway, ask your kitchen man about getting a price for the laminate worktop from a cut and edge specialist. CK...See MoreKitchen extraction in a large space - advice needed asap please
Comments (10)The reason being, I expect, is that due to the volume of your space you are needing something efficient, quiet and unobtrusive ... I've screen shot two examples to show you - the first extracts 500m3per hour but is only 35 decibels loud . The second is a smeg kitchen specific one - it does go up to 800m3 per hour but at a whopping 71 decibels loud ! If this is a living area too - that's just too loud ! In order to get signed off - most build projects, which include fitting a new kitchen, needs a fan that's as good as or better than the one that was there previously ... so that might be another reason . Lastly - money ... the smaller quieter one is actually quite a bit cheaper ! So this might be another reason ! Hope that helps a bit ! :-)...See MoreInduction hobs with built in ventilation - advice needed
Comments (40)Hi I have the Novy Panorama 1841. I am not sure about the grille type exit point but we don't have one. The previous owners had the kitchen fitted. The unit is less than 3 years old. The right side of the hob is flashing errors and it has taken over 7 working days to get an engineer to come and replace the board. The hob is brilliant when working and really quiet. I think the aftersales service (through Aga Rangemaster) is far from efficient. With the Brexit delays you would think they might stock a few spart parts to mitigate the delays. Its been two weeks without a hob. A five year guarantee is excellent. I could recommend the product but not the aftercare....See MoreUser
