Hallway - long and narrow with loads of light - what to do?
Comments (14)Thank for all the comments. We will get the radiator cover. As for the paneling...I not sure this is in keeping with the Scandanavian theme...eventhou the master bedroom does have paneling which is very nice. We will likely get a bespoke storage unit made on the other side of the bathroom. Something a little fancier to the one already there which houses the washing machine/ dryer and laundry products. Overtime I think we will get a better feel for what works best - art, picture frames, mirrors etc... Keep the suggestions coming!!...See Morehague blue feature colour in new home
Comments (8)I agree that brilliant white is too much of a contrast especially since the kitchen cabinets are a grey with a brown undertone. So I would search the Farrow and Ball site for inspiration paying particular attention to their explanations of the colour. Personally (having now seen the space) I like All White, Strong White and Cornforth White to complement the blue in the living area and blue kitchen accents such as a rug/ blind/ accessories. Given how contemporary the kitchen is I don’t think it will suit painting the cabinets and personally I think a soft white glass splashback or grey or bronzed mirror would be a cleaner look than the metro tiles (although I think the metro tiles will also go)....See Morehallway colour dilemma to match feature wall
Comments (13)Hi Vicki, I agree with Jules that it would look great to complement the wallpaper by carrying on with dark colour on the walls. I thought these could work hiding by your pictures: Mylands-Bond Street no.209, Marston&Langinger -Smoke Blue. As a lighter alternative you could look at F&B Stiffekey Blue (it would compliment the teal colour without being too strong)....See MoreCove in hallway want to make it a feature with coat pegs
Comments (14)I don’t think it’s necessary to change the wall colour, unless you want to? I also had a thought about putting a door on the area to create a little cloakroom? However, I can see it also leads into another room so it probably wouldn’t work anyway!...See MoreUser
