what colour walls with this sofa?
Comments (10)Hi! I think the best idea is to get two different throw pillows (one blue, one gray), and see how you like them with the couch to see how you might like them on the wall! http://deciture.com/shop/decor/world-market/blue-moon-button-ribbed-lumbar-pillow/ http://deciture.com/shop/decor/world-market/tornado-gray-velvet-lumbar-pillow/ Hope this helps you!...See MoreCurtains
Comments (14)I would add the palest of pink silk curtains. You could also pick up the colour as feature walls where you have your book case and the print by the brown chair. This corner looks dark and so would brighten it and maybe replace the art with a statement mirror (floor to ceiling.) I would also paint the wall with the fireplace the same colour. Not a deep pink merely a hint of blush. I once read an American interiors magazine which featured sunny country homes and the designer was show casing her projects where she had used pale pinks. She said that pale pink could be used as one would use a white. And it's true - it works well as an alternative....See MoreWhat goes with grey sofa. I keep thinking greys whites.
Comments (13)Hi The great thing about grey is that it is a neutral and can be pretty much mixed with anything:-) A few pieces and possibly prints in duck egg, black , a copper lamp or table, and you have your scheme. I have attached a few images below just to show you the diverse range of options and how anything goes. I don't know if your style is contemporary or more relaxed but the same theories apply - Interiors in my opinion look more interesting when things are not too matchy matchy. If you bought a copper/brass influenced, coffee table, lamp, side table, duck egg throw, a couple of cushions with duck egg and maybe white, black or muted green, a vase in teal, black etc. I know you get the idea. It can cost as little or as much as your budget allows and as you find pieces or things you love, they will all fit in beautifully but it will have a lovely relaxed feel. I hope this helps:-) https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/wimbledon-family-house-transitional-living-room-london-phvw-vp~8736498 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/false-creek-condo-scandinavian-living-room-vancouver-phvw-vp~11284069 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/san-francisco-pied-a-terre-contemporary-living-room-san-francisco-phvw-vp~34295322 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/heritage-home-renovated-by-tanner-kibble-denton-architects-tdka-contemporary-living-room-sydney-phvw-vp~12504826 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/living-etc-west-london-house-tour-2015-contemporary-living-room-london-phvw-vp~32703732 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/geometric-collection-contemporary-living-room-london-phvw-vp~36425901 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/shortlisted-sbid-international-design-awards-2013-residential-category-contemporary-living-room-london-phvw-vp~12418133 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/clarendon-works-industrial-living-room-london-phvw-vp~19400707...See MoreI am trying to make an Orange sofa work in my living room.
Comments (20)Hi Dawn, Copper accents are a lovely idea. Have you seen the Orient Lamp from Lightyears? It's quite a statement piece, but it would tie the room together. Orient Copper Pendant Lamp Another more subtle option might be the Cloche table lamp, which comes in a polished brass shade. Wrong London Cloche Lamp This orange Lune sofa is a punchy, warm colour. Fritz Hansen have got several photos of it with different styled interiors. In this one, they used several accent colours on the wall, and a fantastic metallic line across. Lune Sofa - 3 seater Suspence Pendant Lamp For a more poppy, fresh look, Stouby have styled their Ayo sofa with a lime throw. Bringing in bright colours is easier with an already bright sofa - they stand out in contrast to the orange sofa, but the grey walls balance them. Ayo Sofa Although this room features a lot of grey, it is warmed up by the pairing of the Lune sofa and the artwork above it. The coppery shades work really well with grey. Lune Sofa - 3 seater The artwork reminds me of the Eskimo Rusty Radiator - see if you can spot the radiator in this photo! The lovely copper patina looks more like a piece of art. Eskimo Outline Rusty Radiator Then for rugs, Kasthall has a fantastic range of handwoven rugs that can be configured in any size or colour. Here's a couple of long pile, textured examples: Ines Rug Moss Rug Do post some photos of the sofa, and your room when you're ready. Looking forward to seeing it! Phoebe...See MoreJuliet Docherty
