Need help designing this bathroom
Comments (21)Hello Yan, wanted to show you an idea of colour scheme for your bathroom. I decided to keep up with your layout idea and I noticed you like grey and wood in interior. In addition, SA contemporary style isn't much about colours but more about textures to keep interior simple and rich. In general, interior is neutral with couple of small colour accents, which can be easily updated or changed in time. There is no drama that sink in front of window! Moreover it gives fantastic advantages to use natural light. You can hang oval mirror at the window frame. In the evening hours, you can use illumination from wall light above window. Flooring is grey brushed concrete tiles with soft matt texture. Wood like porcelain tiles use for walls from the left and right, including curves. That's how you unite broken wall on a left and make it longer and identical. Tiles for walls around window and the opposite side ( including all curves and around door) should be the same - light grey with stone like texture. Grey tone on walls is lighter than on a floor. Here are screen shots (everything is in scale, actual bathroom size): I hope concept is easy to understand, let me know if you have any questions....See MoreNeed help with future bathroom!
Comments (22)Loving all these ideas! Do you know what type or style of shower you want to go for? There are so many options nowadays, Would you like wall-mounted or flushed ceiling, for example? Here are some ideas: This is the Sunshine shower head, a stainless steel disc Ø 350 mm with one ABS disc within that is fitted to the ceiling, complete with water guide system and optional white light therapy, massage or atomiser jets. Or, if you would prefer a shower column, this is the Vehla MySlim Ambiente - the shower column is constructed in brass, with fixed shower holder and integrated progressive valve. 3 mm ultra-slim shower head, non-liming, inspectable and serviceable. One jet handshower in brass, non-liming, inspectable and serviceable, with smooth 150 cm anti-twist PVC flexible hose. You can check out more of our shower heads and columns here. Comments (17)I'm in total agreement with Jonathonandb1972. I think the wall tiles are quite modern. The flooring lets the whole thing down and replacing it would vastly improve the overall look. You could also go for a dark chocolate feature wall to match in with the flooring on the wall with the sink and mirror.I noticed the bottom of the shower, i have just done the same with bendable acrylic sheet matched to the colour of the walls in my downstairs shower room. ( So you can access the pipework ) We have ( my wife has ) - just finished this room, choosing not to hack the tiles from the wall as it makes a big old mess, she's covered over the tiles with Tongue and Groove and re-tiled the inside of the shower.Transformed the old place! She's a clever old stick and a top tiler!...See MoreNeed bathroom inspirations for compact bathroom
Comments (10)Hi. I'm a bit confused, have you bought the vanity and are looking to paint it? Is the rest of the bathroom fitted as you could add brass or copper taps for instance with a matching mirror? Accessories will also warm it. I like a little wooden stool in a bathroom which you can add accessories to i.e. A candle, natural sponge, flannel etc which has some texture. A plant on the window sill if you have one and then nice accessories for the sink and either some coloured towels or I like hammam ones. I've found a couple of pics but they may not post as houzz has issues :( These are using deep rich colours which may bring the cabinet towards you a little. A darker top for the vanity would also work...See MoreRudio Designz
