I have been trying to find a console table with the right dimensions - 26cm depth, 90\5cm height and 140 cm width. I found a lovely design on Oka website: The rivulet design -http://www.okadirect.com/furniture/tables/console-tables/ Does anyone know where I could find similar but taller? Or if someone could make one? Many thanks!

I would maybe mirror behind the table to enlarge the space.. The bottles need to be on plinth maybe three tiers taller bottles towards the back maybe the same with some glass. Ice bucket and any accessories co-ordinating with colours or style that will follow through the area. Maybe a striking modern arrangement, basically it looks flat.. Need some lift from the back and maybe some different handles to add some sparkle or classic touches to lift the front of the table. Good luck in your project.

I think you feel it looks too solid is because you haven’t followed through with the rest of the room, for example cushions to tie in with it. Further up these comments minnie101 has suggested some black patterned cushions which i think would lift the scheme, however if you really don’t like it then follow your heart and return it. Why keep something you don’t like? Then choose a colour-way that you prefer, such as the blue you suggested. A blue coastal theme would tie in nicely with the neutral theme you have at the moment. By the way, i got a Turkish rug from Olney Carpets in Bucks, and they let us take it home for a week to see if we liked it before buying! True service, and yes we did buy it! Of course buying online does give you that option too. I wish you lots of luck.

Hi, I think if the theme upstairs is grey and mustard, how about swapping the radiator out for a modern anthracite one. You could even opt for a vertical one to free up a little space and place a smaller console table to the side of it. There are more traditional styles and other contemporary radiators that would both suit the space. Either style would make a striking feature. We also agree that a big warming rug would spruce it up too. Good luck!
