Driveway help... resin bound or not?
I’m looking for some help and advice for our driveway. We need to get a new drive laid as ours really lets out house down but it feels like such an important decision as it can make or break the exterior. I’m reluctant to get block paving as I see so many that need a lot of upkeep. I am favouring resin bound but I haven’t seen any with our style of house (I find it hard to visualise!), my husband would like large paving slabs. Has anyone done resin bound on a similar house? What colours would you recommend? My friend suggested Chocolate resin (click on the chocolate coloured circle).

One thing to bear in mind is that if you would like your gates automated we might need to run cables, or put loops under your drive way. 5 years agoI personally find the chocolate too warm against the brick. If you're set on resin then I'd go for a pale golden colour which resembles gravel as I think it's more in keeping with the property. I'd also go for a flagstone or similar path to the door and use edging around the shrubs. I've forgotten the first colour but will try to find it again but the 2nd is Norwegian pearl!

5 years agoAs mentioned previously, some pictures of a recently finished landscaping project using granite setts / blocks. Also with a red brick house so the contrasting colours shows up nicely. Options for perimeter detailing such as the sugar cube borders etc. Permeable joints and bedding used to the driveway drains itself, no need for surface water drainage system with channel drains etc. PS - photo's unedited, will upload to a new project page soon.
