we need help with the living room / TV units !!!!
Comments (10)Hi. I would bring forward the sofa about 3ft forward from where it is now. Add a long console/sideboard etc behind the sofa (door ŵall) with a pair of matching table lamps and a set of 8/12 symmetrical art prints over the top. Add a console behind the sofa back facing the kitchen and accessorise (not with lamps!). Move the coffee table in front of the sofa. I'd move the tv to the other side of the fire and have someone make a cabinet to fit the tv just something similar to your yellow one). Pop a couple of lamps on this cabinet. Move the chair to the other corner (but not right in it) and pop a floor lamp or your existing one behind. I'd go for art over the fire, something with mainly a white background picking up a little of your colours. I think a light would be fine over the dining table, it won't lower the ceiling further as you've got the extractor, and as the table isn't symmetrical to the island I think it would work. Alternatively remove the light fitting and have an arc lamp on that rhs ŵall partly over the table. What ŵalls were you looking to decorate? Is the blue going? I think given the colours in the room I'd go grey, white or a duck egg could work for the main ŵalls....See MoreCan a unifit bracket be fitted to any of your tv units please?

Comments (17)@Ewa Mc - this is one of the new patterns - https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/storage-furniture/shelving-units-systems/best%C3%A5-storage-combination-with-doors-white-vassviken-sularp-white-spr-89266949/ click on the colour dropdown and scroll through the list - there are around 50 options in there. Take a look at the real photo defore you go into the 3D planner. Comments (29)I think alignment would be a better focus rather than symmetry. For example, the drawers at the bottom lining up with the shelf divides. I would personally remove the drawers under the fire and make more of a feature of the fire place/area. There‘s a lot of dead space above the TV, could you maybe add an enclosed shelf a top-opening door? It could be in line with the top most shelf on the left. Could you paint the vent the same colour and finish as the walls to make it blend in?...See MoreSvetlana Lierre
