Colour schemes for L shaped living

We've recently knocked out 2 walls to give our family an open plan living space but we're struggling on colour schemes. Our kitchen cupboards are very slightly off white high gloss and the island is charcoal. Flooring is oak effect through out the whole space. We're planning on keeping the sofa for now and have upsized our dining table for an 8 seater oak one.


We'd like the kitchen to be fresh (hence the lime!) but the lounge to be calm. Our issue is that from the dining area you'll be able to see the kitchen and lounge so how do we tie this in?


Any suggestions on how to decorate this L shape living space?
