Thanks for your compliment! The tile is 8x16. I don't have the original color and I've noticed the color choices offered by vendors can change over time. I'd visit your local supplier and pick up samples. In NYC Nemo Tile and Artistic Tile both have nice options. Hope this helps.

Going by the plan above, i'm a little confused. Clearly the sliding door faces to the wall on the right, therefore, it is the length of the shower that should be in question not the width. The sink at 900mm is far too large for the bathroom. Either, have the stud wall at one end of the shower or the other, reduce the size of the sink and have room for the toiletries. You can still fit in a 900 wide shower, it makes no odds if it's 900 or 800. It's the length that's the problem. Alternatively the last option would be to have the 800mm wide shower with the 1200mm length and have the back wall built with niches for toiletries. These will however be constantly covered in water due to the shower head needing to be attached to that wall not the glass sliding doors as in the given illustration. So, better to go for option one or two with the wall at one end or the other. Personally i like the wall at the end near the sink it gives more of an illusion of privacy.

Hi Vicki, I would go for bigger tiles, ones that are 60 cm x 30 cm. If you use smaller tiles the outcome may look too busy with your chosen floor tiles. I also suggest choosing very light grey wall tiles, the colour of which matches to the grey background colour of the floor tiles. That would give you the industrial sort of vibe you are aiming to achive. Order different samples and see how the combinations look in your bathroom. Hi Suzanne, yes, I have done this, but sadly can’t find a photograph of it! it was in a new build in a long narrow room where the shower was at the end so I tiled the whole floor including the shower try and carried the tiles up the back wall of the shower, it worked really well as the ’planks’ added visual width to the room.

I would (if the tile stripes line up) do the back wall that has the shower and the bath on it with the striped tiles, but put them in vertically. Since I'm not a huge fan of corner baths (they always look dated to me) and you have space for a free standing tub, I think, I'd go for something like this... But, if you go for the plan you have now, I still think that the back wall in the striped tiles will look modern and not overpowering if you keep the rest fairly plain.
