Do you have a TV in your kitchen?
Comments (21)i think it will be awesome if we can put TV on the kitchen or dining room, but guess the noises inside the kitchen couldnt compete with TV which is better way to connect living room with quite wide TV and the kitchen, so theres a way to watch the TV through kitchen or dining room as well...See MoreLiving room tv advice- wall or stand?
Comments (7)Plan B? TV too high - solving TV neck ache We have been installing TVs above fireplaces for the past 15 years. Our recommendation is that you should leave at 50-100cm clearance from the top of the fireplace to the bottom of the TV. I am assuming that the black cover above the fireplace does a good job of stopping the heat rising? However, a protruding mantelpiece to further deflect/minimise the effect of heat thermals would help. TV too high - solving TV neck ache This month, we will be importing a dynamic TV mount, that is specifically designed to easily lower TV's that are fitted above a fireplace or protruding mantelpiece for comfortable viewing. The target UK price for the slim mount unit will be £599 including the ability to swivel it left and right (see photos attached). This solution is also ideal for moving the TV away from toddlers when not in use! Comments (7)Changing the worktops to a light colour will make all the difference. I've just had a new kitchen installed and even in a small area - about 2.5 metre sq - having a white worktop has completely transformed the area. The previous matt black surface just absorbed all the light. I've painted the walls white as well (previously a creamy colour) and now the area is so bright I've had to buy a blind for the window! Therefore, I'd suggest staying with the layout and looking at the colours for your new kitchen rather than creating unnecessary openings that will mean you lose cupboard space or other rooms. It's not just style, but function that is also important, if the space does not work for you, you will soon fall out of love with the house....See Moreis this tv stand width appropriate?
Comments (11)Hi, it sounds like you really like this piece of furniture, so I say go with what you love! Obviously, it fits the wall and is a really lovely piece, and as the TV isn't sitting directly on top of it, it is probably okay. I think you need to ask yourself how much it will bother you! At the end of the day, the design comes down to you and in that you need to consider your taste as well as utility, as I am guessing you need something there to hold the cable box and accessories anyway. One thing I would say is to be careful about what you put on top, as if it gets too busy, it will draw attention to the difference....See MoreDaisy England
