Need help with patio and garden design please
Comments (14)Hi there, potentially a great project. You have a superb blank canvas from which to create a landscape. Freshscaped will be able to assist you,I am sure. Meanwhile,if you seek inspiration.....have a look on my website under Portfolio sections; Landscaping and Poolhouses. A recently completed job in Kent where we added woodland,a stream, wild meadow, an eco office, and a superb Marston & Langinger orangery type building. I would be more than happy to put forward some ideas that Freshscaped could develop, or indeed assist with any Interior Renovations you may be doing also. I am based in Surrey, and work in London & the home counties. Best of luck, and do drop me a line if I can be of any inspiration to you. www.bellawhiteleyinteriors.co.uk...See MoreGarden design - help please.
Comments (20)I agree with the others about removing the small bushes - as it will open the garden up and let light in. I shared this picture to show how much impact a very narrow border can give. I planted it all white - but I have lovely coloured borders too :) My advice would be to get on with it. This only took 14 months to get this established, and plants/borders can easily be moved! Good luck. Also - a circle around the bottom of your beautiful tree would allow for a great and simple splash of colour, either for spring bulbs and perennials or bedding plants!...See MoreTriangular back garden design help
Comments (26)I agree with Bespoke Interiors Redbridge UK, definitely put in full height fences, not trees. If the neighbours are problematic (sounds like they're related to mine), the fences will be a safer option than trees that shed leaves/fruit which they might take issue with. Fences also take up less room in a small garden. My garden is only 3m wide, and I have full height fences on both sides. You can paint them or whitewash them if light is an issue, though I have left mine to silver naturally (I just like the look). Get the kids involved in gardening and put raised beds in front of the fences: I am training berry plants up the fences, so they will be green and leafy once the (currently 18 inch tall) plants grow in. Sunflowers are also great to grow along fences and there are plenty of climbing or tall edible plants like sweet peas, maize and tomatoes that are easy for kids to look after (and snack on!). Be careful of getting any evergreen hedges. I have a school one side and have had to ask them to really cut back their leylandii hedge, which has been horribly neglected for years, and it's now getting close to 3.5m tall (guidelines say no more than 2m). It's expensive to cut them back if they have been neglected, so you may be setting yourself up for a big bill down the line....See MoreHELP! Garden Design Idea's for privacy & new shed
Comments (14)The highlight of your site can be a small pond. Add a couple of moisture-loving plants to it and your garden will sparkle with new colors. You can also divide the site into separate zones. So that they do not visually mix, use a frame with climbing plants or a hedge. Garden paths will help to add elegance and grooming to the site. In addition to practical functions, they carry aesthetic value. Also, do not forget to equip a comfortable and cozy seating area in your garden. Landscape design should begin with a plan drawing and functional zoning of the territory. It is necessary to indicate the location of all necessary items and sites on the map of the area, taking into account the size. If there are children in the family, then it is important to provide a playground. The playing area should be located partly in the shade, partly in the sun and without drafts. The design of technical premises requires a serious approach. It is customary to locate a barn and a compost pit near the garden. If it becomes necessary to heat the house with the help of firewood for their storage, an additional building is erected. Firewood sheds can be adjacent to the barn or located at a distance - in the second case, they often perform a decorative function Add nformation https://sirinsoftware.com/industries/consumer-electronics-solutions/...See Morerachelmidlands
