I would give your local council a call or email them, they vary in different areas so anything we tell you may not apply. There should be an email address for their planning department. The quality of the question you ask will help, the more info and specifics the better. Also ask them to refer you to the planning guidelines section they rely on specifically so if any question in future you have all the details and backup.

Useful... yes, to someone who might want some for the garden. Worth anything....not really. I think a bag of new clean ones in garden centre only costs a few quid. Offer them for free or make a little water feature with them. A large plastic plant saucer and a solar powered water fountain, stick the cobbles on top and hey presto, instant water feature. Only works when the sun comes out tho, at least mine did anyway:) You should see what I’m trying to get rid of! (See pic). Making a raised bed so dug up half the lawn:-)) and I can’t be bothered go to the tip.

I'd probably remove the metal splashback behind the hob, as I think it'd look more streamlined. However I've noticed that it comes down further than the very small upstand that's currently there, so if that will annoy you then perhaps just leave it! You could go for a fairly standard subway tile like the below: Or something a bit different like these: Hope that helps, all the best!
