What type & color of stone on walls & porch floor? Purchased from?

I am looking for a thinstone veneer that looks like this for a new home. This is beautiful, but can't find anything like it.

looks like quartzite. I'd look at Telluride Stone or Gallegos Stone

Shahina Difference between polished and honed refers to the surface finish only. Polished, of course, will have "polished" or high gloss surface. Honed is not polished, or matte finish, for a softer look and feel. Honed is not as formal looking as polished and not as slick. But veining is the same no matter what finish you select and is inherit in the stone itself. Hope that helped...

Hi Donna, the world is your oyster really, your kitchen sounds quite neutral so you can go for almost anything. Gillian is right there are lots of porcelain wood effect tiles around these days and some look better than others. Porcelain tiles are very practical and hardwaring and easy to keep clean. Think about the look you are trying to achieve, do you want the floor to look ultra plain or would you consider a concrete/stone effect tile? Stone effect tiles can look stunning and will hide a multitude of sins, necessary if you have children or animals in the house. Hi Emma, The kitchen sounds stunning. Minnie has a great suggestion with a darker surface for the floor taking into account the soft neutral tones you have chosen. A darker tone on the floor would really set off cabinets and Silestone top. I can understand your dilemma, there are so many products on the market now it's hard to choose! It's interesting the mention of Insta. We were talking about this the other day - what looks good on a tiny square does not necessarily translate to real life. Things need to have impact on a small square to draw the eye, but in real life you need to live in a space and feel comfortable. I think we have all been sucked in at times! Anyway, Forza's previous mention about Skimming Stone is a good one. Greys tend to be blue based, green based or violet based. Blue based can look urban and tend towards cool, green based or violet based may be the way to go. Little Greene Slaked Lime is good, Skimming Stone woodwork, Elephants Breath walls Farrow and Ball etc.
