Chinese wardrobe green
Comments (3)Hi don't have a picture but the colour is a blue/grey green. Room gets plenty of sunshine. Have a king size bed but no headboard. House was built in 1922 no cornices or ceiling rose. It's quite spacious but has the double window set in to slightly sloping eaves. So can't have too much curtains. Did buy red and gold bedding which looked oriental but don't like them going to take back. Have a few other bits and pieces that are oriental. Budget probably around £2,000 but am flexible. Will try and get some photos. Thanks for coming back to me. We have been living overseas in rented apartments and now feel I have lost my confidence. Have the whole house to do but waiting on Architect drawing up plans for a large extension and thought I could at least tackle the spare room as it won't be affected by building work....See MoreFitted wardrobes for large vaulted ceiling bedroom
Comments (7)Hello, I have searched for some images for your inspiration. As you on the the first two images, there is gap as well between the wardrobe and ceiling. If you believe visually it works for you, than go ahead. Alternatively, you could place some baskets as well on the top for extra storage, personally I would consider it if that helps. On the last two images, you can notice that the ceiling is high and the wardrobe is reaching the ceiling. I have the same in my bedroom and love all the space I have even if I need a chair to reach the top cabinets (I store there stuff I hardly ever use), so all the space is used up for storage. I say don't move sown your built in wardrobe to the middle. On the right I love that sitting corner, where you also have light entering your room. Looks pretty nice, stick to your plan! Comments (26)Thanks for the mentions Jules Mc ! :-) Hi Debzip . If you have open walk in robes spaced at 550 open robe - 800walk space 550depth backing onto another 550 - 800 550 550 800 etc - so your robes go from to the length from eves to window - this could afford you a mix of single hanging and 3/4 hanging and possibly double hanging at highest height and shelves or drawers etc too . Finish each section with a std door to keep it tidy. Reduce the depth down nearer bedroom entrance and keep a dressing table area under the roof light ... that’s probably what I’d suggest . Although the previous suggestions are also fab ! Hope that helps a bit ! (Adding a rough sketch to clarify )....See Morebuilt in wardrobe for slopy ceilings
Comments (0)Rooms with sloping ceilings are commonly reduced to storage space and are overlooked in terms of value-add potential. Decorate your sloping ceilings with a fitted sliding wardrobe spanning wall to wall and floor to ceiling. By transforming eaves storage space into bespoke fitted wardrobes or cupboards, you can have all the benefits of a normal shaped room, with practical built-in storage solutions....See MoreA B
