My dream vintage rug is too big for the room
Comments (2)I am always of the belief of where there's a will there's a way. I know exactly what your dilemma feels like when you fall in love with a certain item that is the wrong dimensions! in your situation I would gather a bit of outside advice before purchase. Contact a carpet fitter and see if there is a possibility of altering the size for you. It's amazing what they can achieve with all sorts of flooring finishes. Am pretty sure they would be able to assist you in some way....See MoreIs your home too big, too small or perfect?
Comments (8)You get used to the space very quickly and just as quickly fill it up with furniture. The feeling of space is great and as a new build I doubt heating will be an issue with insulation standards. I would suggest creating a feeling of space, lots of storage and light are crucial. 1.5 acre garden is very large, especially with a baby. I used to have just under half an acre and spent forever getting no where with weeding and cutting grass. I literally planted hundreds of trees as a wind belt and for decoration and you will need a ride on mower. Does give you space for a play area, patio, veg and fruit garden etc....See Moreis this Rug too small?
Comments (9)I’d like a coffee table but was initially worried about sizing as the table the tv sits on is quite low. Now that we’ve decided to move I don’t want to spend much as we would hopefully be down sizing. My husband thinks the bigger one would make the room cramped but I’ll show him the mock up and see if it changes his mind, thanks very much for that....See MoreIs my rug too small?
Comments (10)I see what you mean. You've followed the 'rukes' about furniture at least having front fet on the rug, but it doesn't quite work. It's a bit disconcerting that it so exactly fills the 'L' created by the sofa. Maybe it's that? Perhaps it's the colour against the darker floor that jars? Or even the texture? I always think those flat weave rugs look a bit insubstantial with big chunky furniture. Sory I havejt got a solution to suggest. I'm sure better designers than me will sort you out....See Morejpp221
