Living room accessories: wall art, rug and cushions
Comments (11)Hello Claudia, Speaking from an art on walls point of view, I'm loving the challenge, so I present a few choice pieces for the wall above your two armchairs that I think will be a happy compliment to your existing decor and furnishings: As regards the picture above your piano, the colours work well with your room but you don't like the subject, right? If that's the case, this consideration will have to be a decision based on what subject(s) you really like or are quite sentimental to, as opposed to colour matching an art piece just to fit in with the rest of the room. If you do play the piano, musicians are very sentimental people, so you want something above the piano that you can "feel and connect to" when you're sitting there playing. It has to be sentimental to you, irrespective of what it is and what colour it may be, and not to consider it as part of the rooms overall decor. If there is anything I can be of further help with, feel free to contact me through my Houzz profile or website: http://thejonescollection.gallery All the best with whatever you decide to choose for your wall spaces....See MoreThrow cushions and pillow cases for bed - any ideas or samples?

I'd recommend our latest blog for a great colour combo and there are some great lights to go with the look too! Here's a link Idea's for decorating your bedroom. Comments (7)Hi Loula, I would probably start with a geometric rug in grey and white. A shape mirroring that of the chair detailing. This will also still be crisp and contemporary like the rest of the space. Cushions in white will help tie the colours throughout the space rather than just having blocks of it. A large piece of art of work in the same colours on the wall behind the dining table would really work.. maybe a peaceful seascape to add a bit of tranquillity to an area for relaxing. Finish with a few accessories on the table and beside the TV to help bridge the gaps. Grey is a great contemporary colour that will work well with the scheme you have started. You now just need a few more layers to really bring it to life. At the end, as Liz suggested, you could add a single punch of a great colour to add a little warmth - my suggestions would be burnt orange or a deep rich purple. We offer single room design and/or great sourcing packages if you need help further help. Feel free to drop me a message and we can go through it in more detail. Otherwise, I hope this helps and I look forward to seeing the final room! All the best, Gina...See MoreHelp with bed styling, cushion ideas etc?
Comments (5)I think I’d layer the bed a bit more as it tends to add a lux feel. Maybe some velvet will add lux to the rustic/industrial look? Not sure what you think of this striped velvet cushion? You could also add a pendant light ( a bit further down the bed than shown). It would needto be something something like feather, paper, rattan, velvet etc though in case you bang your head! A rug may also be nice but I’d pick one in the same tone as the floor. The contrast with the rug and floor in the last pic makes the room feel narrower?...See MoreMisha M
