Comments (6)Thank you both for replying. Yes Minnie101 you have the photos the right way round and that is the AA, good spot! I've just painted some AA & Bowler Hat on the wall, once it's dry I'll add it to the post as that really isn't the best photo you're right. Yes the eclectic design will have a lot of colour, I have a dark red (very close to ox blood in colour) leather sofa which would stay for that scheme and I'm thinking of adding lots more colour with artwork from artists like Patrice Murciano like the one here & adding the exact rug here which will cover most of the floor....See MorePaint colour to go with red and gold sofa
Comments (11)Dulux buttermilk is a warm, creamy yellow that works well in a south facing room. It'll make the room bright and airy without being too yellow. With strong red, gold and terracotta this will compliment your autumnal pallette without competing with it....See MoreURGENT white & navy paint names needed for north facing room
Comments (43)Hi Tani. Mmmm. Mixing colours by hand can be tricky in large quantities which is why I suggested taking a small sample of your existing paint first and and seeing how other colours change it. For sampling you can use any acrylic paint (acrylic has similar properties to emulsion) as you’re just trying to identify which colour you need for mixing, could be other tester pots, kids acrylic paints, artists acrylics etc. but when doing the final mix I would use the same brand and finish paint. In theory (and from memory) to make a dark navy blue lighter and warmer you’d need more of a dirty peach colour then add this to the navy at approx 1 part peach to 10 navy then add more if needed. All a matter of trying and testing. Having said all this it may be possible to sell the paint you have now (after all navy is popular atm) and get another colour....See MoreWhat carpet would work best here...
Comments (21)I thought I recognised your name! How did the kitchen colour go in the end? I think a Persian would be lovely, and the pattern would hide any paw marks although wool is meant to dispel any dirt. I’m a bit limited on colour Options but also tried it in a yellow (I was after an F&BIndian yellow but couldn’t get the shade!) It may not be your thing but you can go bold in a dining room?...See MoreDaisy England
