Open plan kitchen living dining room how to choose colour.
Comments (1)Hi Susannah, I would advise you to get samples pots of all your choices and paint the relevant walls (large areas and in corners to check colours in shadow too). Make sure you judge the effect of each colour on the other in the room. Best wishes, JNSQ...See MoreLVT or Laminate flooring?
Comments (7)Hi Sarah, Hope you are well, In our opinion the durability is all based on the product you choose. Both Laminate and Vinyl are Graded using AC (Abrasation Class) Rating, is a measure of a floors resistance to abrasion, impact, stains etc.... The ratings also indicate that the product has been tested for the effects of furniture legs, castors, and swelling along its edges. AC 1 Residential, Moderate Traffic: Suitable for bedrooms or guest rooms AC 2 Residential, General Traffic: Suitable for living rooms or dining rooms AC 3 Residential, Heavy Traffic: Suitable for all areas AC 4 Commercial, Moderate Traffic: Hotel rooms, small office etc......... AC 5 Commercial, General Traffic: Office, boutique, café, stores etc...... All of our products start from AC3 and go to AC5. Do you have an idea of colours? We may be able to point you in the right direction. If you do have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch via email at Info@floormonster.co.uk Kind Regards, Floor Monster Team...See MoreWood flooring or LVT throughout? Including kitchen? Pls, your advice!
Comments (7)I have solid wood flooring in most of my house, tiling in the kitchen and hall. We bought the wood unfinished and did all of the finishing ourselves (it was already sanded). Cost wise it worked out around £30 per square metre which is really good. Most of the wood I finished in Osmo Oil either Raw first and then clear or white first and then clear. It does darken and warm with age so this needs to be factored in when designing colour palettes. If you like fairly neutral palettes this can work well, if you prefer lots of colour then a more consistent Amtico product or factory finished wood may be preferable. I wanted to be able to re-finish and re-oil my floors if necessary. I have LVT in my studio which is really practical and looks good, however it doesn't feel like wood....See MoreRecommendations for a true grey LVT flooring?
Comments (8)Thank you Ellie, it's good to know about your experience and has also made me realise the importance of ordering with a company that supplies and fits, as I am a fussy beggar so any hint of imperfections and I wouldn't be happy!! Thank you also for the info about the Karndean colour, it is reassuring as smooth looking is exactly what we're after. It was my favourite of all the samples but since seeing photos I'm less certain! In the showroom the luvanto pearl grey looked lovely and we almost purchased it there and then, but since looking at real life photos I'm doubting it now! I guess the issue is that photos will never properly show the true colour so we should probably go with the samples really. I'm so glad you got sorted in the end, good to know that Karndean will replace faulty batches, if it was a battle!...See MoreAnthony (Beano)
