Help please with conservatory layout

We have recently fitted cupboards in our conservatory, replacing a huge 4 seater sofa. (They weren’t supposed to go here but measured slightly incorrectly and the only option was where they are now which is great but I wanted chairs along this wall!) I now cannot decide on whether to buy another smaller sofa, or two armchairs and possibly a smaller chair and where to put them. The only thing staying in this room are the new units. We need 2 more units (either side by side 60cm each) or stacked. I want the room to be colourful, (it’s actually a toy room) and need space around the floor! Bifolds from dining room go into the conservatory, and french doors leading to the garden. In the right corner is the door leading to the driveway and diagonally right is a toilet. Any ideas gratefully received!

4 years agoHi, thank you! Hopefully you can decipher my writing in the plan - the fridge is going, only the units are staying, the rest is a blank canvas.

Comments (3)That is a good point. I have thought of staggering the line at the back. Unfortunately that would not work with our garden as we have limited space at the back and the extension would shade a large area. The current living room is small and I am concerned we are creating a long narrow room. We have got used to the cosy space but when the family return home it is too small. Comments (19)I think it would make a lot of difference if you had outside lights highlighting plants and keep the light level very low in conservatory itself so your eye is drawn outside when you look that way. I’d be doing everything I could not to highlight the white frames of the conservatory at night. A bit like Beano said about gloss white v Matt white on sofa I would be really tempted to paint the frames Matt white. And I would be hanging plants in the conservatory itself too and positioning some soft lights to highlight plants. 4 years agoIt's an awkward one with all the windows and doors, but something like this would work:-
Eventually, i'd knock out all the doors and windows facing the garden and turn it in to a proper room, keeping the glass roof, but ensuring the outside walls were insulated enough to then remove the internal doors and windows, opening up with a half wall by the kitchen to a lovely open plan room:-
