Attach the table to the wall and then bring the cables into the drawer through the back. Rethink the switch for the light or new lamp with more discrete switch and cable. Maybe touch sensitive switch for the light. Seek Advice from electrician on the safety and re-site cables and plugs. Use a conduit painted the same colour as the wall to carry cables. Do you really need a big extension lead . Does everything actually need to be on that table?

We solved this problem with a Phillips lamp. It has a very low profile, energy saving, etc. It's a great lamp, good light for a dining area, perfect for our low ceilings and doesn't impede the view through to the garden. Just did a quick browse to find the exact name (below) and found that Phillips have a number of low profile pendants to choose from. Thank you! Very clever. Hmm. I have no idea - ha ha! What are the white lights. I'm slightly concerned that the whites won't match. There are so many whites. The coppers might not match either. Could just do 5 mediums at different heights or 3 mediums and a few small - all in the striped. Not sure. They would be in a straight line as that's how the track is. What do you think might look best? My table would be going across the room and is bigger than that table so lights wouldn't be as close to the table. Do you think all stripes would be too much? Thanks for doing those ideas - really appreciate it.

After many weeks of experimenting with furniture positions I have finally reached a conclusion which I'm happy with. I am selling the Ikea black desk which was too small and impractical for the room and replaced it with my old curved desk which now fits snugly in the South East corner of my room. I have also put the chest to good use which is now under the bed and will be replaced by 'weathered scaffold board' shelves on the South West wall which previously held my guitars. The guitars will be placed on the North East wall above my chest of drawers which are stacked and positioned next to the bed. I am still yet to decide however which wall should contain all of the photos and canvas'... Perhaps above the headboard. The speakers will be positioned accordingly once some shelves fill the South East corner wall above the desk and the 3 shelves have been positioned. The LP player along with the vinyls will be on the bottom shelf which is still in the process of design. Once this is complete.. I may have time to put hooks above Bob Marley's head for the cables.... If you believe I'm going the wrong direction with this please give me a shout. Pictures will be posted upon completion.
