choosing wall paint for living room
Comments (3)Hi Sam, I have a colour palette here for you attached and thought you might like one of the ones I've circled for you? I thought they may go with the room the most after seeing the colour and texture of the sofa also. since there are a lot of wood I see in the picture and some blacks, they can literally go with anything colour wise but with the sofa I thought maybe one of those colours would go really well with the room? maybe could even add a second one to the room if you felt that would look better! has this given you a better idea?...See MoreOpen plan - wall paint
Comments (3)This is a great family space. I wouldn’t use paint to zone the room but, like in you have in the 3D image, zone with the furniture arrangements and rugs. I would merge the seating and piano into 1, with a large rug to define, centralise the seating area and widen as the chairs are currently interrupting the Flow. Put the piano on the wall beside the smaller door with enough room for a stool and circulation. For colour, introduce lots of low maintenance plants, cushions, paintings....See MoreMatching wall paint?
Comments (2)Wood works as a neutral so you don’t need to pick colours to go with it as such, you can have whatever you want. I’m assuming when you say the doors will be brown, that you mean they will also be wood? To be honest I wonder if it’s a bit early to be pinning specific paint colours down. There are thousands of colours out there, so I’d focus first on getting the more permanent things chosen - eg the kitchen, the vinyl flooring, bathroom tiles - then choosing colour schemes to go with them. Yellow all over might be a bit full on, but it entirely depends on your taste, and yellow is definitely making a comeback so you’ll find lots of inspiration pictures on Instagram/Pinterest etc....See MoreWhat colour wall paint go with Cashmere cabinets in a northfacing room
Comments (9)Another suggestion is Dulux Egyptian Cotton. I had it in my bedroom and it does have slight pink undertones so maybe worth getting a sample pot. It is quite similar to Skimming Stone. I suggest you paint your samples onto A4 cards and try them on different walls in the room stuck with some blue tack. I was advised to do this and it really helps. It works better than lots of paint samples on a wall which can be confusing. Purbeck Stone is a lovely taupe. This is Egyptian Cotton....See Morebuzzed365
