please can anyone advice me about this brick wall that is build that did not enclose all my land. *NOTE THE WHITE LINE THAT SHOWS THE BOUNDARY.*
how do I enclose all my land without dismantling the brick ,
and any advice should please bear in mind that the drainage pipe is on the wall.

Comments (36)Hello again!! Just short of 2 years later, my den is finally finished and looks pretty much like how I've envisaged it. Few months ago, I was extremely lucky to meet this carpenter who is really good and doesn't mind building my 'designs' :)) and we got to work. As you'll notice, in planning the space, I've used a mixture of your ideas above: it has a secret door, a (folding) desk, it's a bit of an art gallery and has a few other surprises! The initial plan had to be altered to accommodate my new hobby :)). Almost one year ago, I had this mad idea to start painting (on) glass and then to make silly clay figurines, so I adapted the space to suit my pursuits (like the slightly tilted shelves for paints, peg board for scissors, top shelf for expo, etc). Plus, you can't really tell which of the panels are in fact secrets doors!! As for the rest, I bought a rubber mat to protect the oak floor and I'm using a trolley for the rest of the materials, so it can easily be moved out the way in case we need access to the back. Carpenter insisted on the LEDs, I'm not that keen on them. So, ignoring the arty-farty clutter, what do you think of my space?...See MoreI'm lost! Please help with my kitchen.
Comments (544)Hello Amanda, : )) Do you mean in the kitchen? Yes a nice idea. I like flat plate too, but really plain. Well the best way to describe how I feel about certain alterations is to tell you about someone I knew who "did up" her flat to such a degree that she literally took away all that was characterful about it.. Sometimes it's best to leave things as their patina develops over time and results in something quite special. Restoration is one thing but you can also restore the life out of something and thus diminish in certain contexts the value- and so it's good to know when to stop.. Comments (8)I like your plan, I would put an external door on the utility instead. and ideally get the boiler in there if you can. (boiler there more important than door- if its a choice) block up external door to office (not needed) put a cloak room under stairs and use the doorway space - access cloak room from under stairs. Just need to know where your external soil pipe is to confirm. i can recommend an architectural technician. (although you could probably sketch it yourself) he also does B.regs / project management as well, if required re the construction, over hand block build the party wall side. brick and block the rest, you will need a steel over the bifold if wider than 3.6m. cheaper option is to have larger french doors with fixed glazing either side, (then you may not need the steel.) you will need one for the internal partition. so delivering two easy as one i may be able to supply the easi joists and 18mm osb for the roof (bit of a small job) get your services (lights) up in there easily . 5m easy to span try and get a warm roof if poss. Comments (54)Yes, the brush marks don't appear visible and the finish of the plaster itself (including directional marks etc) remain visible. A word of caution though I have also used Polyvine over painted walls (flat matt paint and flat matt polyvine) and on the painted surface I do see more brush marks. It's not terrible but (to my eye at least) you can see the application marks. I used the polyvine to add extra protection on the wall going up the stairs which is always subject to scuffs and knocks. At first I just took the Polyvine half way up the wall but it was very obvious where it stopped. I ended up just doing the whole wall with the Polyvine nd that looks a lot better and you don't particularly notice a difference between the trated wall and the other untreated ones. evident where it stopped and t...See Morerinked
