Thanks all. That's really helpful. @bchillman5 - love your flush windows, and the astragal lines - what manufacturer are they? And you are right - it is a very similar look house, and I agree that the paler grey suits the stone better. So thank you - I am very grateful for this image. Depending on the condition of the window, you may be able to just change just the glass so it is double glazed. The process to do this is called bi-glass. Bi-glass is cheaper than replacing the windows and can provide all the benefits of double glazing while retaining the charm of your existing windows. Beautiful view. It’s a traditional house so calls for traditional timber windows not UPVC ones, nor do you require coloured lights in the top. Although you might want a view the design of those windows could be better. Split the big panes up into sections. Is the reason you don’t use the front door because it’s awkward to use it because of having 2 doors? If you have no plans to use the door in the image I would be tempted to get rid of the outside doors and just have the inner doors as it will provide you with a covered area.
